Our Process Explained
-
1
Planning
To start, review the goals for your countertop or other surfacing needs. This helps to identify your own personal look that you'd like to achieve. Everyone has their own unique style and taste. Ideas range from a modern design to a more classic or traditional style. We have marble, granite, quartz, quartzite, concrete, and even wood surfaces that will meet your needs.
-
2
Design & Pricing
When the base cabinet drawings or your hand drawn layout is available, we are able to get you accurate pricing using the materials you selected. For this part of the process, the measurements don't have to be exact. The goal during this step is to provide enough detail for us to figure out how much material your project requires. Drawings are then custom designed for your project and are created specifically tailored to your project. We can even share a rendering of what your surfaces will look like. Please note, quotes are valid for 30 days, due to the fluctuations in material costs.
-
3
Site Preparation
Any prep work should occur during the 2-week timeframe between template and installation. Any existing plumbing needs to be disconnected and existing countertops, if any need to be fully removed prior to installation unless that additional service was agreed to in the Design and Pricing phase
-
4
Approval & Templating
Once you have finalized your selections and are ready to move forward with your countertop project, we collect a 50% deposit and book your template and install dates. During templates, we come to your home (or project site) to get exact measurements and layout needs for your countertops. Template dates are typically shortly after your cabinets are installed, and countertop installation is typically 2 weeks post template. Please note, we must have all final selections at time of template - materials, edge profiles, sink selections and any other selections you desire such as backsplash, corner radiuses and desired overhangs
-
5
Fabrication
Once we have a final template, our team of skilled tradesmen set out to convert the raw slabs into the finished product. This involves several steps: Cutting. Once the material selections are finalized we cut the slabs to the proper shapes and sizes for your project. This is done using the most advanced CNC Fabrication Center on the market. The T-Rex by Poseidon Industries. Fabrication. The edges of the slabs are then finished to match the selected edge profiles as well as any special requests such as arcs or radius corners. Polishing. The finished edges are then polished to bring out their natural beauty. This is done using a variety of machines, including diamond tooling and CNC processes.

Installation
Your countertops are a fully custom piece and will require fabrication at our shop post template. Once your countertops are fabricated, we will visit your job site to complete the installation process. Part of this process includes mounting any undermounted sinks. Please note, Parthenon Marble and Granite is not responsible for any plumbing services.
